1. What we collect

• Account info: email, display name, optional profile fields (sex, height, DOB, activity level).
• Health & fitness logs: food entries, workouts, water intake, biometrics, goals.
• Photos you upload for food or workout logging.
• AI coach conversations you send.
• Basic technical data: IP-derived country, browser type, pageviews.

2. How we use it

To run the service — show your dashboard, generate insights, and personalize coach advice. We send photos and meal text to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI) strictly to extract nutrition or workout data; they do not train on your inputs under our API terms.

3. Who can see your data

Only you, and any coach you explicitly link to your account. Verdant staff access is limited to debugging on request. We do not sell your data.

4. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export or delete everything at any time from Settings → Privacy & Security.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data. EU/UK users have GDPR rights; California users have CCPA rights. Contact privacy@verdantveganfitness.com.

6. Security

All traffic is HTTPS-encrypted. Data is encrypted at rest. We use row-level security so users can only access their own records. We offer two-factor authentication and idle session timeouts.

7. Not a medical service

Verdant is a wellness tool, not a medical device or healthcare provider. It is not HIPAA-regulated. Do not rely on it for medical decisions — talk to a clinician.

We'll notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice.
